The Roxas wig was my first time dying, styling and even wearing a wig for cosplay. I started with a short blonde wig, and started using sharpies from the base of the wig. Before you do anything, gently rinse the wig in the shower. After letting it airdry, pin the wig onto the wighead with sewing pins. This will keep the wig from moving around while you work with it. Then gently brush the wig with a comb. Be very careful as the strands are only plastic - they can stretch or come out completely. |

The roots are dyed with a dark brown while the mid portion is medium, and likewise the ends are light brown. But for the hair at the base of the neck, it's better to keep with dark and medium brown and forego the light brown considering hair is naturally darker there. This gives the wig a more "natural look" - well, as natural as gravity-defying spikes can be. Side note - I made the wig a bit darker from Roxas' hair color to better match my skin. Sometimes you may want to do this especially if it helps with the overall image. |

Then, I started spiking the wigs from the bangs by using Got2B Glued hair cement. That stuff is amazing. But don't use too much otherwise you'll get a really plastic-y look. It's best to use the hair cement mainly only on the ends of wefts and not at roots. |

When styling a certain part of the wig make sure to keep the rest of the hair pinned back either by hair bands, rubber bands, or even sewing pins. |

For the spikes in the back I also used Got2B Glued. These are held up by paper clips so you don't have to wait for each individual one to dry or hold it up with your hand. |

The hair in the very back has a little hair cement, but for the most part I just ran my hands through them as the original wig style already had a nice curling effect at the bottom. |

Before finishing, I used an extreme hold hair spray to help hold the style in place. This will make sure the wig will be rock hard. |

Lastly, remember to check all angles! Although personally I think the Roxas wig looks best from the top... not that anyone really looks from that point of view. |

Try your new wig on, and take a few test pictures. Make any necessary adjustments, and you're all set! |
